SPAIN Barcelona
Everything in Barcelona is fantastic. The professors are very knowledgeable of the subject matter. I am enjoying the courses and learning to speak Spanish quickly. The on-site staff has been very helpful throughout my stay.

University

ESEI Business School, founded in 1989, is a private institution of higher learning. The curriculum combines academic theory with case study to provide practical education in business. ESEI offers Bachelor Degree programs in International Business Management and International Marketing Management with concentrations in management, marketing, finance, economics and law.

ESEI's faculty and student body is very diverse, coming from around the globe. The international atmosphere adds to the learning environment and students' experiences. Approximately 100 students are enrolled in full-time degree programs. Small class size and close student-teacher interaction creates an atmosphere of learning, discussion and personal growth.

Teaching & grading

ESEI combines European and American teaching practices. You can expect the teaching style to be similar, but not identical to your university in the USA. Most classes will have a short syllabus. Professors utilize lecture, discussion and/or hands-on teaching styles, depending on the subject. All courses are taught in English.

Assessment methods may also differ from universities in the USA. ESEI professors may test students orally (as opposed to passing out written exams); students from the same class may be asked different questions on their exams, and your final grade may be based on just one or two assignments and/or exams. Marking at ESEI is based on the British system, although the American system may also be used in some classes.
