FINANCIAL AID
Did you know that KEI programs cost less than tuition at most private universities in the U.S.A.? You can also use financial aid to pay for all or part of the KEI program fee. There are various sources of aid available for study abroad - government, KEI, institutional and private.
 
KEI offers partial scholarships, grants and interest-free payment plans to qualified students. In addition, students can take advantage of our special offers and discounts.

INSTITUTIONAL AID
Do you receive a scholarship from your university? You may be able to use the scholarship for study abroad. Speak with your academic advisor, financial aid office and/or scholarship administrator. Please note that work-study can not be used for study abroad.
 
There are other sources of funding available for study abroad. These options can help you pay costs not covered by financial aid. Your KEI advisor can help you research these options.

The U.S. Higher Education Reauthorization Act of 1992 includes provisions to facilitate the use of federal financial aid for study abroad. Federal aid includes Pell Grants, PLUS loans, Federal Perkins loans and Stafford loans. Some states also allow state aid to be used for study abroad. In addition, students who served in the military can use their GI Bill.

There are various sources of scholarships, grants and loans available from organizations, private individuals and financial institutions. We strongly encourage students to apply for external funding. Many of the funding organizations have early deadlines, so make sure to apply early.
