The Board of Advisors is charged with assessing KEI programs, making suggestions for improvement and monitoring changes made to programs.
The Board's goals are to provide reasonable assurance to our students, affiliate institutions and parents that KEI programs are of high academic and professional quality.
The review process consists of an on-site visit, assessment of student evaluations and close examination of staff reports.
Special attention is given to the following:
appropriateness and quality of academic activities (courses, seminars, etc.), in reference to the program's goals and objectives
appropriateness and quality of professional activities (internships, professional visits, etc.) in reference to the program's goals and objectives
appropriateness and quality of planned field trips and cultural activities
quality of academic and housing facilities
quality and reliability of KEI services - pre-departure and on-site support, orientation, advising and counseling
satisfaction of Affiliate member institutions and student participants
safety and security issues, including emergency response plan
The Board consists of study abroad administrators and academic faculty from educational institutions in the United States.
