HOME PROGRAMS: THE KEI DIFFERENCE

KEI offers unique summer programs for high school students. These are not educational travel tours, but rather intensive college-level academic programs distinguished by subject-specific coursework and research. KEI partners with respected universities, research institutes and professional organizations to provide the highest quality programs.

There is NO foreign language requirement. Courses and research are conducted in English. Offering programs in English makes study abroad more accessible to students. However, we strongly encourage students to learn the host language and become fully integrated in the host culture.

KEI programs award up to 9 college credits for courses and research. Students have the option of receiving credit and transcripts from the host institution abroad and/or the KEI university of record -- an accredited university in the U.S. with which KEI has a formal agreement to award academic credit and issue program transcripts.

Students will receive one official transcript upon successful completion of the program. In general, program credit is transferable to most universities in the USA that accept Advanced Placement (AP) credit. Make sure to verify credit transfer with the Admission Office of the college you plan to attend.

KEI offers affordable comprehensive study and intern abroad programs. Our programs offer the best cost-to-benefit ratio (what you get for the money). Don't take our word for it: compare!! If you find another program at the same host university with the same services, inclusions and opportunities, we will match the price and give you a $500 grant to help with travel. You will not find a price guarantee like this anywhere else.

Don't mistake affordability with quality. We are able to deliver high quality programs at a lower price through fiscal management, long-lasting relationships and leveraging resources in the USA and abroad. All this means savings for our students.

Planned day and overnight excursions are an integral part of the program. Excursions and activities are intended to highlight the unique character of the host country, help students assimilate into the culture and encourage participation in the host society. Our on-site staff and local faculty organize and accompany students on all excursions.

Most programs range from 8 to 15 students. Having small groups allows us to customize programs to suit individual needs, help ensure safety and provide a more personalized experience. High school students are integrated with university students on the program. Some university students choose to serve as mentors, assist our on-site staff and facilitate integration in the group and with local students.

Our NY-based and on-site staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality service and a safe learning environment. KEI programs include the following services and support:
